Kid Command appears to be a great virtual world where kids - in this case my 5th grade students - can independently, cooperatively, and collaboratively learn about the ecology of the world and the impact humans have on those environments.
I most look forward to my students engaging with children all over the world to learn about the environment and each other; and applying their knowledge to real world problems and solutions (both virtually - and right here in our community).
I foresee my students becoming engaged and interactive in the Kid Command world. The fact that they will have the opportunity to envision a creative identity for themselves and become part of a thrilling storyline is brilliant because the Kid Command learning that happens in the classroom will most likely continue at home.
I’m excited about the journey this year with Kid Command.

Kid Command will provide a great opportunity for children in afterschool programs to learn more about the environment they live in, and how important the choices they make now are to their own futures - and for generations to come. The potential for connecting with students from other cultures is exciting. What a great activity option for afterschool programming!

“How fun would it be to have your teacher tell you to go play at the Kid Command site? I wish there had been something like this when I was a kid.”

“I have kept up with Kid Command through the monthly newsletters. What is so exciting about this site is that it was created by parents who feel the exact same way I do about online games for kids. Kid Command promises to be the option for families who want online time to be super fun but not mindless!"
My child will actually be learning about the world and I’m sure he will teach me things as a result of his time on Kid Command. I think that if my seven year old learns about the positive impact he can have as a child, he will grow up feeling that he can make a difference. We didn’t have that when we were kids.”

“When my grandkids come to visit, they usually want to play on the computer but I don’t feel savvy enough with technology to keep them totally safe online so I end up saying “no”. I am impressed with Kid Command. The Parent Command feature is just what I need to make sure that the kids are getting equal time on the computer and that they are safe and monitored. I am planning to buy gift subscriptions for all my grandkids this Christmas so that when they come to our house, they get a bit of the online fun they crave!”
