Do I need high-speed internet to play?

Most computers with a dial-up Internet connection have a 56 K modem. This will work, but you may find that it takes much longer to load objects and to enter the world. A broadband internet connection is recommended for best results.

What are the minimum computer requirements for playing?

Windows Requirements:
• PIII 1.2 MHz or higher
• Windows OS 2000/XP
• RAM: 512MB recommended
• Browsers: Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 7.2, Firefox 1.0, AOL Explorer 1.5
• Monitor Resolution: 1024x768
• High Speed Internet (Recommended)
• Adobe Flash 10

Mac Requirements:

• 1.2 MHz or higher
• Mac OS X 10.3
• RAM: 512MB recommended
• Browsers: Safari 1.2.3 or higher, Firefox 1.5
• Resolution: 1024x768
• High Speed (Internet Recommended)
• Adobe Flash 10 (Logo & Link to download)

I'm having trouble logging in. What should I do?

First, make sure you are using the correct username and password. Your password is case sensitive, so include any capitals if you used any when you signed up. If you have forgotten your password, click on “I forgot my password” and follow the steps to get a new one. You can always change the new password later by clicking on “CHANGE PASSWORD” at the login window. You will need your Secret Code to do so.

I can't see everything; some things are cut off on the bottom. If you can't see all the items at the bottom of your screen, you might try changing your monitor resolution to 1024x768.

Windows 98/2000/XP Users
• Right-click on your desktop (away from any icons or open windows)
• Select "Properties"
• This will open your Display Properties Control Panel.
• Click on the "Settings" tab.
• In the middle of this panel, you will see your "Screen Resolution" slider. Slide this to the right, until it reads 1024x768 (higher resolutions are okay, but make sure that they are compatible with your monitor). Press "OK" to confirm your choice.
• Your monitor will flicker a bit then change to its new settings. You're now ready!

Windows Vista Users
• Method 1: From the desktop
• Right-click on your desktop (away from any icons or open windows)
• Click "Personalize"
• At the bottom of the list, click "Display Settings".
• Use the slider bar to select your desired resolution (1024x768 or higher)
• Click OK.
• Method 2: From Control Panel
• Click the Start button (the windows icon in the bottom left of your screen)
• Click "Control Panel"
• Under "Appearance and Personalization", select "Adjust Screen Resolution".
• Use the slider bar to select your desired resolution (1024x768 or higher)
• Click OK.

Mac Users
• Go to the Apple menu at the top left-hand corner of the screen, and choose

System Preferences from the drop-down menu.
• Select "Displays"
• Select 1024 x 768 or a higher resolution that is compatible with your monitor.

What do I do if my avatar is stuck or invisible?

If your avatar is stuck in one spot or you can’t see it at all, try jumping to another room by clicking on the MAP button and selecting another room.

What if I don't log out from the site? What happens?

If you close your internet browser window or are inactive for more than 15 minutes, your character will automatically be logged off. It is always best to 'Logout' when you're finished playing, as this improves the overall gameplay experience for other players.

Why was I logged out?

There are two ways for this to happen. First, if you leave your computer for 15 minutes, you will be automatically logged out. Second, if you have a slow computer or slow Internet connection, you can get disconnected.

Why does Kid Command freeze up sometimes?

Occasionally and unfortunately there may be so many people trying to use Kid Command at the same time that our computers can become overloaded. We try to keep this to a minimum and we are always expanding our systems to keep up with the number of visitors we have!

I have a question that is not covered here.
Where do I go for more help?

If you are wondering how to do something, odds are that there is information in your Passport or in the help file for the room you are in. The help file can be accessed by clicking on the associated tab in your passport. If you are still stuck, you can click on the Contact a Moderator button to request further assitance.
